 SOPMOD Disassembly Guide
« Thread Started on Jan 13, 2009, 10:33pm »

Taken from here: http://www.first-jp.com/fmd/SOPMOD/index.html

Translated guide is as follows:
Disclaimer: disassembling this gun is done at owner's risk. We (or the source) will take no responsibility for any problem that may arise. Also, remember that disassembly will void any after sales service offered by Tokyo Marui.
I. Preparation
1) Tools nedded:
a) + screwdrivers (a.k.a. Phillips screwdriver, small, medium, and large)
b) Torx screwdrivers (T10, T6)
c) mallet (when necessary)
d) lock ring wrench (available at Tokyu Hands) or stock pipe wrench.
2) Fire gun at semi to leave piston at rest
3) Remove battery

II. Upper Frame Disassembly
1) Remove frame lock pin (front).
2) Pull thingying lever slightly to disengage the lock and pull the upper receiver away from the lower receiver
3) Remove the bolt blowback parts as shown in the image below:

III. Stock Disassembly
1) Remove stock by pulling the stock lock lever slightly while pulling the stock away from the stock tube
2) Remove the 3 screws shown below, and remove the wire cover
[image]
3) After removing the wire cover, remove the spring that below the terminals in the stock tube.
4) Unscrew stock ring

IV. Lower Receiver Disassembly
1) Remove motor and grip (same as current M4/M16/M733)
2) Remove lock pin as shown below. Note: the rear frame lock pin is a dummy.
3) Raise mechbox slightly and remove the bolt catch
[image]
4) Remove magazine catch (same as current M4/M16/M733)
5) Remove mechbox from lower receiver
[image]

V. Mechbox Disassembly
1) Remove 4 screws as shown:
2) Carefully remove the screw indicated below. This is a spring loaded mechanism for the bolt stop function.
3) After removing the bolt stop mechanism (spring indicated by an arrow), remove the last screw
[image]
4) Remove the mechbox shell. Be careful for there are still 2 springs, the tappet plate spring and the trigger spring.

Pangalawang problema, masyadong makapal 'yung metal bushings.

Pangatlong problema, replacement selector. Bumili ako nung King Arms metal selector lever. While pwede siyang gawing replacement, mas malaki 'yung bilog niya by 0.2 mm. Dahil dun, medyo may lubak 'yung pag-select ng fire. Gamit uli 'yung mini router saka 'yung cylindrical grinding wheel, binawasan ko 'yung bilog.

Good luck sa magpapalit ng bushings ;D
