This is the most cost-effective way to get the most out of your Tokyo Marui AEG. Original piston head is at the left, ported one is on the right. Benefits of ported piston head: provides a better seal than unported piston heads, providing greater pressures that will propel the BB faster. Tools needed: * tools to open gearbox, * ruler (vernier caliper is recommended) * 1.5 mm drill (available at Daiso) * pen for marking * hobby/cutting knife * protractor or 30/60 triangular ruler (recommended but not required) Procedure (after removal of piston assembly from the gearbox): 1. Remove rubber o-ring and clean piston of grease 2. Draw lines to divide the piston head's face (like a pizza), dividing it into 6 parts.. 3. Mark a point along a line 4 mm from the edge of the piston head 4. Use the drill to bore a hole onto the piston head - approximately 5 mm deep - using the point marked previously as a reference. It should penetrate the inner part of the piston but not the rear. Clean burrs with cutting knife. 5. Return o-ring and re-assemble as normal.

Wala akong definite test kaya di ko masasagot accurately. Nung ginawa ko sa M14 SOCOM na binili ko kay Daniel, from 93 m/s umabot to even 100+ m/s sa chrono ko. Pero 'yung improvement sa performace ay result ng combination of factors. Ang stock Tokyo Marui gearbox kasi ay gumagamit ng mas madaming grease. 'Yung extra grease ay nakakasama sa performace kasi pinapabagal nun 'yung piston travel speed, at may chance pang pumasok 'yung grease sa cylinder head nozzle. 'Pag ported na cylinder head mo, pwede ka na gumamit ng mas konting grease o kaya lighter na grease compared sa stock.
Ang malaking advantage talaga ng ganitong modification ay mas mura siya compared sa pagbili ng upgrade parts. Wala ka pang waste. Compared sa pagbili ng piston head with bearing at spring, kailangan mo lang ay 105 Yen na tool galing Daiso.
